Position Summary 

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution of appliances and related products. 

As a key operational leader, this role serves as the connection between our warehouse operations, transportation team, customer contact centers, retail showrooms, and eCommerce business. The Warehouse Manager ensures products move efficiently throughout the supply chain while supporting inventory availability, on-time deliveries, and exceptional customer experience. 

This position is responsible for leading warehouse supervisors and associates, driving operational excellence, maintaining inventory accuracy, improving productivity, and fostering a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside their team, developing talent, and solving operational challenges in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory control, picking, packing, staging, loading, shipping, and returns. 

  • Manage, coach, mentor, and develop warehouse supervisors and associates to build a high-performing team. 

  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving operational goals. 

  • Monitor daily productivity, labor utilization, and warehouse KPIs to ensure operational efficiency. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve service levels. 

  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and inventory control best practices. 

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and all warehouse operating procedures. 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. 

  • Collaborate with Transportation, Customer Service, Retail Showrooms, eCommerce, and Customer Contact Centers to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. 

  • Develop staffing plans, manage scheduling, and oversee labor and overtime expenses. 

  • Conduct employee coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and development planning. 

  •  

    • Manage warehouse equipment and coordinate preventative maintenance. 

    • Analyze operational reports and warehouse metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. 

    • Assist with budgeting, expense management, and operational planning. 

    • Support new warehouse initiatives, system implementations, and business expansion projects. 

    • Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures, and quality standards. 

     

    Qualifications 

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. 

    • 5–10+ years of progressive warehouse leadership experience. 

    • Minimum of 3 years managing warehouse supervisors and large hourly teams. 

    • Experience in appliance, furniture, retail distribution, logistics, or high-volume distribution environments preferred. 

    • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution best practices. 

    • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Office. 

    • Demonstrated ability to analyze KPIs and drive operational improvements. 

    • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 

    • Proven experience managing labor productivity, scheduling, and operational budgets. 

    • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification. 

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as business needs require. 

    • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
