As a Business Development Manager for the Builder Division in Atlanta, you will play a critical role in increasing AJ Madison’s territory sales and brand awareness. You will focus on building relationships with builders, custom home developers, and multi-unit project professionals. This position requires a combination of proven sales expertise, exceptional customer service, and a professional presence.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Promotion: Drive sales by promoting AJ Madison as the appliance authority to builders, custom home developers, and multi-unit project teams.

  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, developers, and multi-unit stakeholders through solution selling and ensure customer satisfaction before and after the sale.

  • Project Management: Collaborate with multi-unit developers to ensure timely delivery and installation of appliances, meeting project specifications and schedules.

  • Order Accuracy: Utilize knowledge of design, construction, and appliances to ensure orders meet specifications and are accurate for builder and multi-unit needs.

  • Technical Expertise: Apply basic measurement techniques and product knowledge to address specific project requirements.

  • Goal Achievement: Execute and deliver on sales and margin operating plan goals, contributing to the overall success of the Builder & Multi-Unit Division.

Job requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-5 years of outside sales experience, specifically in the builder, construction, or multi-unit development industry.

  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop and strengthen relationships within the builder and multi-unit community.

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation capabilities to secure beneficial outcomes for builder and multi-unit clients.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Initiative: Self-motivated, driven to succeed, and capable of working independently.

  • Multi-Unit Focus: Experience working directly with multi-unit developers or property managers is highly preferred.

  • Adaptability: Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and peers.
